GTCO CalComp Announces New Version of InterWrite Software

Integration with Microsoft® Office among key features

December 3, 2004 - GTCO CalComp announced today the release of InterWrite Software version 5.1 for Windows®, for use with their InterWrite suites of products. The new release features significant functionality and ease-of-use improvements that result in an improved interactive learning environment for both educational and corporate customers. InterWrite Software 5.1 introduces a new Office Mode that expands the options for saving meeting and lesson notes, new curriculum-related clip art and background images, an extended page view function, as well as several new features designed to enhance the ease-of-use of the software.

The new Office Mode enables annotations created in InterWrite to be directly saved into Microsoft® Office applications such as PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. An Extended Page View function allows users to scroll easily between multiple InterWrite pages. Adjusting the annotation pens and highlighters has also been further simplified with a new toolbar that allows users to select any of the available pen widths and colors.

Features of InterWrite Version 5.1 include:

	Office Mode – Enables annotations to be saved directly into Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, or Excel.
	Extended Page View – Users can now scroll between image pages.
	Export Entity – Any individual annotation or group of annotations can be saved in a common image format (BMP, JPG, PNG, TIFF, or GIF). The saved image file can then be used within InterWrite (Picture Pen, Stamper, Image Gallery) or other 3rd party applications.
	Support for 13 different languages including English, French, German, Polish, and Spanish.
	New images and background templates including expanded math grid backgrounds and additional music notes and scales.
	Simplified pen choices – Change the pen color and width quicker and easier.
